2025 Audi A6 E-Tron Debuts in the U.S.: Boasts Almost 400 Miles of Range

The farthest-reaching electric vehicle in Audi’s offerings for North America will exclusively be offered as a sedan.

  • The 2025 Audi A6 Sportback E-Tron is now available for ordering in the U.S.
  • The EV is available solely as a sedan starting at $67,195.
  • The basic connectivity bundle does not demand a subscription and comes with an extensive array of remote functionalities.

The 2025 Audi A6 E-Tron has arrived in North America after launched in Europe during the previous summer. Boasting an impressive EPA-estimated range of up to 392 miles, the latest model offers significant driving distance. A6 E-Tron is the farthest-reaching EV in the American lineup of the German manufacturer, notably outpacing the Q6 E-Tron ’s 321 EPA-rated figure.

As mentioned, both the A6 E-Tron and Q6 E-Tron utilize the samePremium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture. This design enables the battery pack to be positioned low within the floor, potentially enhancing rear passenger comfort since passengers won’t have to sit with their knees too high.

Regarding the battery, the A6 E-Tron has only one choice: a 100-kilowatt-hour unit (which holds 94.4 kilowatt-hours when fully utilized). This model supports charging rates of up to 270 kW using sufficiently robust DC fast chargers. Consequently, you can go from a 10 percent to an 80 percent state of charge in approximately 21 minutes.

The pack has a rating of 800 volts, with the fastest charging occurring when connected to an 800V DC rapid charger. However, the electric A6 also works well with older 400V chargers. In such cases, the battery splits into two separate 400V sections that charge simultaneously at up to 135 kW. If you use an AC charger instead, the electric car can draw up to 9.6 kW from a 240V Level 2 source operating at 40 amperes.

The base 2025 Audi A6 E-Tron comes with a single, rear-mounted 375-horsepower rear electric motor. It starts from $67,195 (including destination) for the entry-level Premium trim and goes up to $73,495 for the top Prestige version. The maximum range of 392 miles can only be achieved by the rear-wheel drive variant when equipped with 19-inch wheels and all-season tires.

What’s interesting is that Audi’s Android Automotive OS-based infotainment system offers a pretty long list of features for zero money on top. The basic Connect Care package doesn’t require a subscription and comes with remote start, remote lock and unlock, remote interior preconditioning, remote vehicle status, remote charging management and roadside assistance.

There are two additional connectivity options offered. The first one, called Connect Nav, includes a complimentary three-year trial period and offers features such as satellite images, live traffic updates, details about electric vehicle charging stations, online parking data, and an enhanced 3D urban landscape view. The second option is Connect Plus, which provides extras like a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, internet streaming radio, and access to Audi’s app ecosystem. This package also comes with a six-month free trial upon subscription.

Should additional power be what you desire, consider the 465 horsepower twin-engine variant of the electric sedan known as the A6 Sportback E-Tron Quattro. Priced at $69,195 (shipping included), this model boasts an impressive acceleration capability, reaching 60 miles per hour from rest in just 4.3 seconds, with a peak velocity capped at 130 mph. Additionally, when fitted with the optional Ultra package, the Environmental Protection Agency estimates its driving range will extend up to 377 miles.

The S6 E-Tron variant boasts enhanced performance with 543 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. Its estimated range is around 324 miles when fitted with 20-inch wheels. This model has a starting price of $79,995 and includes features such as 20-inch wheels, a rear-biased all-wheel drive system, and an adaptive sport suspension setup as standard equipment. Additionally, every A6 E-Tron comes equipped with a panoramic sunroof featuring adjustable opacity.

The delivery of the 2025 Audi A6 E-Tron in the U.S. is set for this summer. In North America, Audi plans to offer only the Sportback variant. However, in Europe, an additional practical option will be available: the Avant station wagon model.
