On Friday, Pakistan claimed a gold medal at the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2025. Athlete Afaq Khan from Pakistan emerged victorious in the 100-meter snowshoeing event, earning him a gold medal during the current tournament being held in Italy.
So far, Pakistan has won its third gold medal at the Special Olympics World Winter Games.
Previously, Muneeb ur Rehman claimed the top prize in the 50-meter cross-country skiing competition. In the female category of the same discipline, Raveena Qurban earned a silver medal for Pakistan. Additionally, Muazzam Iqbal took home a gold medal in cross-country skiing and achieved first place in the 800-meter snowshoeing event.
